Doula Services Overview
Labor and Delivery Support
I will meet with you several times during your pregnancy to provide educational resources and answer any questions you have about the birthing process. During the last few weeks of pregnancy, I will stay in close contact in order to routinely check how you’re doing and step in with anything you might need. During labor, I will help you advocate for yourself, be there to answer last minute questions and ease concerns, and use a variety of positions and techniques to keep you as comfortable as possible while working through whatever birth preferences you and your partner desire.
Postpartum Care
If you are choosing the birth doula package, I will provide you with one postpartum visit to check in and make sure you have everything you need for immediate postpartum resources. With a postpartum package, visits will be based on need and the services you choose. Postpartum support may look different for every family, so check out the packages page for more details of what we can help with!
We had the opportunity to work with Alexandra, thanks to a great friend that highly recommended her. She was very attentive from the start. Not only was she attentive, but she also was very knowledgeable and supportive. I felt very supportive throughout my delivery. She helped me get through my unmedicated delivery. Guided me through every contraction. Always made sure I was comfortable with everything. She is truly amazing. She continues to check in and offers any support she can give. Even my husband who was skeptical about it at first, was very happy that we found her! He saw how attentive and caring she was during the delivery process. I cannot recommend her enough!

We had the opportunity to work with Alexandra on the birth of our second child. We knew from the moment that we met her, that she was the doula for our growing family! Even our 2 year old daughter was a big fan (Alexandra had crayons, markers and paper ready to go when we met out for coffee!). As our baby boy’s due date drew near, we learned that he was breach and a c-section was likely. Very quickly, Alexandra updated our birth plan, provided new resources for what to expect and even a few positions to try at home to try and get our stubborn baby to flip. When I went into labor at 1 in the morning on a Saturday, Alexandra was at the hospital in record time (pretty sure she almost beat us there) and helped me through every contraction and question as the OR was prepped. She was waiting for us in the recovery room, helped my newborn son latch and breastfeed (something that took months with my first born) and even made sure to get my placenta on ice for encapsulation. Alexandra continues to check in and offer resources and support. We could not have had a better experience and will continue to stay in touch!
